Overview
Sitges is a small fishing village on the Mediterranean coast, 22 miles away from Barcelona, with a warm special climate that offers more than 300 sunny days a year.
The village has a nice sea promenade with 4 kilometers of beach. This is a site of many Cultural events such as The Carnival, Film Festivals, Corpus or the Vintage Rally Car.
Nice architecture and interesting museums are waiting for you. The Cau Ferrat Museum was the studio for the famous painter and writer Santiago Rusiñol who was in love with the light of Sitges and decided to stay there. Charles Deering was an American Businessman, art collector who founded an art museum in Sitges, the Maricel Palast museum built in 1910 by the millionaire Deering on the old hospital from the 15 hundreds. To stroll and see the Singular buildings and lovely houses of Sitges is a great experience as well as to taste the delicious specialties and wines of the region.
We will visit a winery to learn about the Malvasia grapes and the wine typical of Sitges.
