Overview

Costa Brava means Wild Coast; the coastline of the province of Girona is amazing! The trees and the rocks plunge into the clear water! There are some tourist resorts and villages, but I suggest you the romantic and authentic villages such as Calella de Palafrugell and Begur  to spend a wonderful day exploring the beautiful Costa Brava.

Calella is a small old fisherman’s village in the Empordà region in Northern Catalonia, where you can go on a comfortable walk along the coast footpath and enjoy the views over the small beaches, surrounded by pine trees and rocky landscape. There are several restaurants to taste any tapa or Spanish wine while admiring the Mediterranean Sea. The Sant Sebastian lighthouse is another point of view you should never miss.

Begur will be our next stop, it is one of the most wonderful spots on the Costa Brava. The elegant village has important historical remnants that go back in early history. The castle of Begur is a good example of medieval remains, constructed in the 16th and 17th centuries. From the top we can admire the “Medes Islands” a small group of islands, protected area since 1983 after becoming an important marine reserve in the Mediterranean.

A good choice to explore the real Costa Brava tour!
